Treatment of perianal thrombosis

Perianal thrombosis occurs when a clot forms on the external haemorrhoidal node. This is a sudden aggravation of otherwise "harmless" external hemorrhoidal nodes. It is manifested by sudden pain in the anal area, swelling, hardening, redness and even purple tinge of the external nodule the size of a pea or even a grape. Thrombosis can affect several nodes at the same time.

The pain is caused by stimulation of the numerous nerve endings of the skin around the anal opening.
If the problem is ignored, there may be more significant bleeding from the knot and even death of small patches of skin around the anus with long-term healing and discomfort.

Of course, other diseases of the perianal area can cause similar difficulties. Mainly it is necessary to think about inflammatory diseases, which are usually accompanied by fevers and chills with a more gradual onset. Persistent swelling around the anal opening certainly requires attention.

Long-term failure to address the problem can lead to persistence of swelling, to the formation of perianal duplications with chronic irritation. Very often, internal hemorrhoidal nodes are hidden behind external hemorrhoids, the resolution of which would prevent the development of a painful condition.

Therefore, when the above symptoms arise, it is advisable to visit our outpatient clinic for a thorough diagnosis with a proposed solution. It is necessary to visit a proctologist at any time during the course of difficulties.

At our proctology center, we offer the opportunity to address your problem within the first few days of symptom onset. We can remove the clot with immediate relief from discomfort while minimizing complications and ensuring a speedy recovery. Everything is done on an outpatient basis using the latest equipment operated by our experienced professionals using radiofrequency.

Radiofrequency (so-called "soft laser")

A method that, unlike other methods such as infrared coagulation, generates heat within the cell tissues themselves. It is more precise, does not diffusely deplete the surrounding tissues, and reduces healing and recovery time.
